The draw for the National Stages of the ECF County Championship has been made and both of the Staffordshire sides at U1450 and U1650 have been drawn against Essex. The U1450 with a "home" draw to be played on May 13th and the U1450 with an "away" draw on May 20th. If eligible players wish to be considered for selection please contact the County Captains.
Ray and Eunice Dolan are assisting with a new venture, the Ryecroft Home Education Junior Chess Academy. The purpose is to provide both chess instruction and social interaction for home educated children. Meetings take place on Monday afternoons and will resume after a break for Easter and Ramadan. Please contact the organiser Maryman Yasmin if you have a child who is qualified to attend.
