Crewe Chess Club have announced the death of Les Hall. Les represented the Staffordshire Under 100 and Under 120 teams when he was able to do so, when the match did not clash with the many congresses he attended. Les had sight problems and would make long journeys by public transport to represent the county. For a fuller obituary please see this article on the NSDCA website.
