The festival takes place at the Pepper Mill, Phoenix Way, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, ST3 2JD, from Saturday 1st August to Saturday 8th August. For further information please contact Chris Hankey by email or phone 07866 400719.
Events will be from 1pm-4pm unless stated. The entry fee
for all events will be £1, prizes will be awarded. All events will
conclude with the Pepper Mill Cup on Friday 7th August. If weather
permits all events will be held outside.
The activities include:
Sat 1st August 2026: Pepper Mill Festival 10am onwards (No parking on site), Many activities, including chess.
Sun 2nd August 2026: Under 12's Blitz Tournament
Mon 3rd August 2026: Under 18's Blitz Tournament
Tue 4th August 2026: Pirate Chess for both Under 12 and
Under 18
Wed 5th & Thu 6th August 2026:
Rapid Play event with Under 12 and Under 18 Sections.
Fri 7th August 2026: Champions League, winners of
the 4 tournaments all play each other for the PJCC Festival Champions Cup
Sat 8th August 2026: Potteries Juniors Chess Club
Festival, 11am to 4pm, all ages welcome.
Please note that the qualifying age limit is determined by the
participant’s age on 31st August 2025.
