Lichfield Chess Club have announced the death of their former Chairman and First Team Captain Pete Collins. He held these post with distinction for over 40 years, leading teams to success in the Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Cannock and Derby Leagues. In the summer he would enter the British Senior Championship. The Staffordshire Chess Association offer their condolences to his family and friends.
